Dance is for everyone! At Lionville School of Dance, we offer a positive and supportive environment for all our students to learn and develop to the best of their abilities.

 

Our annual production of The Nutcracker, started by Miss Jeanene and Mr. Sean after they joined LSOD full time in 2003, is open to all LSOD dancers (ages 5+). We perform excerpts from The Nutcracker at local schools and senior residences in addition to our full performances at Downingtown West High School.

 

LSOD dancers have performed for fundraisers, including raising over $50,000 for Muscular Dystrophy, and have held special sensory friendly performances for families with autism or other disabilities.

 

Our award winning dance team competes at regional and national competitions each year. Some advanced ballet students compete at the Youth America Grand Prix, which is a rigorous international ballet competition. LSOD dancers have continued their dance education at college and at pre-professional programs, with some LSOD alumni eventually joining ballet companies or becoming professional dancers.  These professional dancers have gone on to perform on major cruise lines, at Disney, for the New York Knicks and various dance companies.
