Studio Guidelines 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we kindly ask our families to abide by the following:

 

  • For the safety of our staff and students, everyone will be required to wear a mask.

  • Parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up in the drive-up line. Parents should remain in their cars for the entire drop-off/pick-up process. Older dancers may enter and leave the building and go to the parking lot.

  • Some class times may be staggered to allow for sanitizing of the studios and high touch areas as well as for the safe transition of our dancers.

  • Please arrive on time (no more than 5 minutes early or 5 minutes late) to your classes to help us enforce the safety procedures.

  • Keep greetings verbal – air hugs, bows, and curtsies are encouraged!

  • Dancers are asked to use hand sanitizer before and after each class.

  • Dancers should bring their own water bottles (the water fountain will not be available).

  • We ask that dancers who have ANY cold or flu-like symptoms attend class virtually from home (or stay in bed and rest, whichever is appropriate).

  • Dancers who have been exposed to or come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 should participate virtually from home for 14 days following exposure.

  • We will be adhering to all CDC guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment.  If we move to another phase or need to close due to COVID-19, classes will be held virtually on Zoom. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

PROCEDURES

 

Arrival Procedure

  • Please arrive on time (no more than 5 minutes early or 5 minutes late) to your class. Punctuality is crucial in order for our staff to enforce the safety procedures.

  • Dancers are asked to arrive dressed and ready (hair up) for class.

  • Parents are encouraged to form a drop-off line through the parking lot.

  • Please do not enter from RG Holmes Drive or block the garage doors for the fire department at any time.

  • When a staff member is able to let students in students will be able to get out of their cars one at a time as they reach the front of the building.

  • Students and staff will be required to wear a face mask. We will allow for mask breaks as needed.  

  • The lobby will remain closed to families until further notice.

 

Dismissal Procedure

  • Classes will be dismissed from the studio approximately 5 minutes early to allow for time to safely line up for pick up.

  • Parents should line up similarly to the drop-off line. Please remain in your cars during pick-up time.

  • Dancers will be dismissed to their cars one at a time as each car reaches the front of the building. 

 

Class Procedures

  • There will be a Zoom option available for every class.

  • The class size will be limited in each studio to adhere to the CDC guidelines.

  • All staff and students are required to wear face masks while in the building.

  • Dancers will be given specific spots in class to ensure social distancing. There will be no physical contact between dancers at any time. Any dancer who cannot follow the social distancing guidelines will be asked to leave the building.

  • Please limit items being brought into the studio to one bag. 

  • Only water will be allowed in the studio. The water fountains will be off-limits at this time, so please plan accordingly when packing your dancer’s water bottle.

  • If your child is exhibiting any flu-like symptoms or feeling at all under the weather, we ask that you stay home and participate virtually.
